A dedicated zone at this expo will enable visitors to talk to
representatives from Victoria's Regional Cities and Council areas about
why a move to Provincial and Regional Victoria offers what
business want :
-
Lower labour costs
-
A greater proportion of residents with trades education and training
-
Greater availability of vacant land
-
Lower commercial and industrial building and land costs
-
Lower residential land and housing costs.
An independent study has found that Victoria's Regional Cities
outperform Melbourne across a number of business indicators .
The, Benchmarking Regional Business Costs, study was a joint inititive
of Regional Cities Victoria (RVC) and Regional Development Victoria
(RDV) , which sought to better understand the regional business
environment compared to Metropolitan Melbourne.
The study found that Victoria's Regional Cities provide clear advantages
for businesses looking to expand or relocate.
These advantages included,
among others, lower land costs, cheaper labour costs and a higher
proportion of trained and qualified residents.
Victoria's Regional areas are vibrant, expanding centres of industry and
lifestyle, and easily accessible to Australia's capital cities via a
network of highways, railways and airports.
Home to some of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes in Victoria,
the regions are also home to tens of thousands of successful businesses
and many major corporations. |
